In 2017, skaters representing the Birmingham Figure Skating Club (BFSC) traveled to Nashville for the annual Skate Nashville competition, a non-qualifying United States Figure Skating (USFS) event. Based on total medals, the BFSC came home with the Newton T Todd and Laura Maki Memorial Team Trophy.

Skaters & Events

Skating against over 300 competitors from five states, 28 skaters ranging from age 6 to adult brought home 15-first place medals, 10-second place medals, and 3-third place medals. They skated several events, including:

  • Learn to Skate
  • Light Entertainment Showcase
  • Novice Freeskate
  • Solo Combined Ice Dance

One of the first competitions of the season in preparation for USFS qualifying events, they return to their home rink, the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena, to tweak their programs and continue their intense on-ice and off-ice training with our top-notch coaches.
