Pelham youth basketball follows AHSAA Rules. A few local rules are also in place. Our goal is to teach young people the fundamentals of basketball and encourage players to work toward the next level. Our philosophy is “never let the players know they can’t do something.” We play teams from the neighboring cities of Helena, Alabaster, Calera, and Montevallo. The league is open to those entering grades 3 - 6.
The Season
Registration for youth basketball begins in September, and player evaluations are held in late October. Regular season play typically runs from late November-February. A single-elimination tournament immediately follows the end of the season.
