Pelham Police Officers Trade Badges for Aprons at Tip-A-Cop Night

On Tuesday, July 22, 2025, the Pelham Police Department is taking community service to a whole new level—this time, with a tray in hand.

Join us at Texas Roadhouse in Pelham from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for Tip-A-Cop, a special event to support Special Olympics Alabama. Our officers will be stepping out of their usual roles and into the dining room to help serve guests, all in the name of a great cause. While you're enjoying a legendary meal, officers will be working alongside restaurant staff to earn tips, not for themselves, but for athletes across Alabama.

Every donation made during the event helps fund year-round sports training and athletic competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. These athletes are some of the most determined, inspiring individuals you’ll ever meet, and your support helps provide them with the opportunity to shine.

The Pelham Police Department is a proud supporter of the Law Enforcement Torch Run® for Special Olympics, a global movement that unites officers around a shared mission of inclusion and empowerment. We host several events throughout the year, including the fan-favorite Pelham Polar Plunge, all to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics.

So come hungry, bring your friends and family, and help us turn good food into great support for a worthy cause. We’ll be ready—with a smile, a notepad, and maybe a few napkins.

We can’t wait to serve you.
