Pelham Community Christmas Tree Lighting
November 27, 2017 @ 5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
What do Santa Claus, free ice skating and the Birmingham Bulls all have in common?
They will all be at our annual Pelham Community Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in our newly renovated Main Arena of the Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena!!
Please join us as we kick off the beginning of the Christmas season on Monday, November 27, 2017 at 6:30pm.
Guests to our event will enjoy holiday music from the Pelham High School Jazz Band as they enter the venue. Members of the Beautification Board will pass out 1,000 Christmas ornaments, so don’t be late!
Inside the Main Arena and on our newly installed arena seating we will be treated to Christmas Music from the children in our community representing each school. Members of the Pelham Mite Under 8 Division will showcase their skills and students from the Pelham Skate School and the Birmingham Figure Skating Club will dazzle you with performances on ice. Don’t worry about your vantage point; the new Jumbo Tron will feature the students as they sing for us. Between the new lights and sound system, you will definitely get in the Christmas spirit!
Santa Claus will be available for our youngest residents from 5:30 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. and he returns for visits after the annual Pelham Community Christmas Tree Lighting at 7:30pm until 8:45 p.m. The Pelham High School Culinary Arts Program will provide hot cocoa and cookies in the ballroom with Christmas music provided by Blaze Entertainment.
Both of our ice rinks will feature free ice skating from 7:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Guess who you will be skating with? Yep, players from the Birmingham Bulls and Alabama’s Frozen Tide will be there to skate with you and snap a few selfies!
Be sure to bring your camera to capture the memory of your child with Santa.
The Pelham Christmas Tree Lighting is free to the public and sponsored by the City of Pelham and the Beautification Board. Come out for an evening of holiday cheer for the entire family.
