Open Burning

The Pelham Fire Department issues Burn Permits to authorize outdoor burning within the corporate limits of the City of Pelham. From May 1 through October 31 of each year, there is no authorized burning within the city limits of Pelham. This is in accordance with a mandate from the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM).

Permits

To obtain a commercial burning permit, please download and complete the application. Email the Fire Prevention Bureau a signed copy. Once received, one of our Fire Inspectors will contact you to set up a time to inspect the burn site. Based on the inspection, the permit will then be approved/denied.

Ozone Alert

When an Ozone alert has been issued, the Pelham Fire Department will display the Ozone Alert Flag beneath the American Flag at Fire Station Number No. 1 located directly behind Pelham City Hall.
